Commissioning is a quality-assurance
process that increases the likelihood that a newly
constructed building will meet the client expectations.
It spans the entire design and construction process and
helps to ensure that the owner’s receive
buildings that work and are well documented from the
beginning to the end of the process.
The new "CalGreen" Title 24 Building Energy Code
defines Building Commissioning as;
“A systematic quality assurance process
that spans the entire design and construction process,
including verifying and documenting that building
systems and components are planned, designed,
installed, tested, operated, and maintained to meet the
owner’s project requirements. (CAL Green
Code)”
